POST-GENERAL CONFERENCE WEBINAR

Join Bishop Tom Berlin, Rev. Alex Shanks and Molly McEntire for a webinar on Tuesday, May 7 at 6:00 pm, designed specifically to discuss the outcome of the 2024 General Conference.

GENERAL CONFERENCE 2024

Every four years, United Methodists from around the world assemble and connect in worship, prayer, Communion, and fellowship as they conduct the legislative work that shapes our denomination. In addition to setting the rules and establishing procedures for virtually every aspect of our church's life, General Conference also communicates the denomination's official position on a variety of issues and cultural challenges.

General Conference 2020 was scheduled to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but was postponed due to the world-wide COVID-19 shutdown. Then, as outbreaks, quarantines, and international travel restrictions continued, it was decided to wait until the end of the four-year-cycle and to hold General Conference in 2024.

The postponed 2020 General Conference is going on right now, April 23 - May 3, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
