We gather together as Church Council periodically to discuss and officially vote on important matters. These business meetings of the church are open to all members and attenders of First Coral Gables; however, only church members may vote on the issues presented.

What is Church Council?

The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church (¶252. 1.) describes the Church Council as the executive agency of the Charge Conference. This means that between meetings of the Charge Conference, the Church Council is the group of leaders who guide and further the ministry of the congregation. The Church Council exists to create and supervise the strategic plan for an effective congregation.
